Sunday 14th December was the date for the festive beach clean on Porthtowan beach. We all had either Santa hats or antlers to make it festive. The morning was overcast and grey, but dry. The beach clean was fairly well attended and the numbers are increasing with each event. Initially, the beach looked very littered, however, by the end of the morning with nine bags of litter, a bag of bottle tops and several large plastic and metal objects, I was pleased to see a very clean beach.
Thank you to everyone who took part in the beach clean.
The next beach clean will be held on Sunday January 25th from 10am – 12noon. Come and join us and make a difference for the marine life while keeping Porthtowan beach clean. You do not have to stay the full 2 hours. I hope to see you then.
